Cask at Poste of Stone, Stone. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. Is slow to settle but does so eventually. There’s floral hops, grains and a few hints of malt in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but with a little underlying bitterness. Floral hops, barley sugar and lemongrass in the flavour to start with. Later some malts come through along with traces of honey and marmalade. Finish is dry and quite sticky. This is decent enough – but the finish lets it down.

Pours a beautifully clear pale gold with a frothy white head, and an aroma of malt biscuits and a hint of hops. The mouthfeel is slightly grainy, offering up a biscuit malt flavour with fruity notes and a decent hop bite that continues into the finish

19th Oct 2017. Cask during the Wetherspoon Festival, drank in The William Withering, Wellington Shropshire. Liked the bottled version, so was hoping the cask was just as good and it was. Golden bronze body, smooth head of creamy foam. Bready, malty aroma, malt first in the taste also, fruitiness feel within the flavour, a very decent blend and a pleasant Bitter all round.

Pint at the Crosse Keys. A bright, citrusy and smooth beer that was served at the right temperature and was exceptionally refreshing. A very robust mouth feel that wore its abv well. This was the best beer of the session.
