Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a murky grapefruit with a small off-white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and citrus in the aroma plus some hints of grapefruit. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy to start off with flavours of lforal hops, tropical fruits and pineapple. After a while some underlying bitterness and traces of lemongrass creep in. Meanwhile the sweetness decreases slowly but there is still a little left in the finish. This is reasonable but not my cup of tea at all.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light to mid-gold and fairly hazy with a small bit of white head. Grassy citrus and berry in the bedeck'd-with-Mosaic aroma. Taste is sweet and laden with fresh berry notes. The finish has suggestions of bitterness but this remains on the sweet side. Orange peel in the aftertaste. Oily body, soft to nil carbonation. Loveliness.
