Raptor is a juicy, soft and fruity IPA focused around the Ekuanot hop. A smooth malt body supports a ripe fruit aroma and a mouthwatering pithy bitterness from a liberal use of American hops.

As I'm on Scottish soil for the first time this year today's deadication beer goes to the 14th Duke Of Hamilton, who was born 122 years ago this very day. The beer is a strong hoppy Scottish made microbrew.

Can. Golden amber, medium hazy with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, honeydew melon, crackers. Fruity but the hop aromatics are more integrated than is often the case at present. Then bitterness gradually pulls the flavours together. Nice one.

Cask at The Grill. It pours clear golde. Amber with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy, big grapefruit character, candied lemon, zingy, tangy, custard creams and refreshers. The taste is dry, decent hit of bitternrss, loads of grapefruit, resinous, pithy, zesty, slightly chalky, pomelo and peppery spice with a dry, zesty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear gold with a frothy topping. The nose holds semi-ripe orange, citrus rind, pale bread, a little pine. Light-medium sweet flavour with moderate piney bitterness, bready pale malts, some orange rind, tangerine, subtle grass. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, somewhat resinous and warming, with more pale malts, ripening citrus, moderate bitterness. Nice overall.
