Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are smoke, roast malt, chocolate, cocoa,caramel and hops.

cloudy brown. smooth yellow head. rye, licorice and faint smoke in the aroma. also some roasted malts. flavor is licorice, herbal biterness, smoke, roasted malts. bordering burnt plastic.

Bottled. A red-brown beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and soy sauce, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light - more like a Mild. Thanks yespr for sharing.

22 fl oz bottle.Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is smoked, caramelish and toffee. Smooth smoked, malty and medium dry caramelish. Lingering smoked and toffee malty finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours an opaque orangey brown with a creamy beige head. Roast and subtle smoke - Bamberg style - in the nose - a hint of diacetyl? Medium body, sweet roast, licorice, ashes and again quite some smoke. Rather bitter finish, I believe it’s from both scorched malts and hops. Drinkable even for a non smoked beer love as me. 100912

Bomber. Pours root beer brown with a collapsing beige head. Aroma consists of campfire, smoked ham--a little too muted. Taste, thankfully, is much smokier than the aroma let on (give me maxium smoke, please). Along with the smoke, there’s some dark fruit and raisin flavors. Highly carbonated and medium-bodied. A good brew, but not in the ranks of the best smoked beers I’ve had.

Aroma: The nose is heavy on the smoked malts, some meat, chocolate, and hints of peat
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small light brown head and some mid-plus lacework
Flavor: The taste is much the same, it is heavy smoked, rather malty, and has just a hint of hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-plus, the feel is clean and slightly watery, with an average carbonation
Overall Impression: So this one has definitely been hiding in the back of the cellar for a while, but that was semi-intentional with this style. It seems to have aged just fine, though I'd be surprised if it developed too much, as it still feels somewhat under-developed. Overall, the smoke is definitely the defining component of this one. This is some decent, but somewhat unexciting beer.

22oz Release #2 bomber pours mahogany with ruby red edges and lasting light tan head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The aroma pumps out roasted malts, bready malts, a touch of spicy black licorice and soft rauch-y smoked malts. The taste has a pretty rich sweet maltiness as well as roasted malts rolling into some earthiness and smooth smoky rauch malts. Into the finish it stays dark and roasty with subtle smoky rauch malts and a light sense of peat too.

Bottle. Pours black with an off white head. Nose/taste of light mesquite smokiness and smoked black and chocolate malts. Body on the lighter side. Very nice slightly dry mesquite bbq finish. Tasty and sessionable.

Served on draft at Capital Ale House Innsbrook. Pours a dark hazy brown color with a thin frothy creamy head tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of smoke, roasted malts, faint fruits, and chocolate. The taste is smoke, berries, chocolate, roasted malts and faint hops. Medium bodied, slightly chalky texture.
