Het Tempelier bier draagt de naam van de ridder- orde van vroeger. Eerst werd dit bier gebrouwen door brouwerij de Sleutel uit Betekom. Nadat deze hiermee gestopt is, verdween het bier voor een tijd. Nadat het vrijgegeven werd heeft Brouwerij Corsendonk het overgenomen en gelanceerd in 2009. Een goudkoperkleurig, droog en zacht bier van hoge gisting met hergisting op de fles.

Flaska från beernavigator. Bärnstensfärgad, klar vätska, lågt skum. Doft av godisaprikoser, fenoler, belgisk jäst. Smaken lätt, torr, fruktig men man förstår varför belgarna generellt brygger starkare och sötare öl när man dricker den här för dofterna har ingen kropp som hjälper smakerna att lyfta. Istället blir den en lätt belgisk amber ale med lite fruktig och karamellsmak som känns ganska anonym. Helt okej ändå.

Starts off with really nice cloudy orange colour and good head, but overall falls a little short of expectations for brewery. Some florals in aroma with a little malt, some sugary yeast. Taste leans too much on the side of sourness though - unbalanced overall. Bottle.

Bottle. A big, dense, off-white head forms over an hazy, dark amber colored body. Lacings occur. Lots of dried fruits in the aroma, hints of cellar and some beef stock. Yeast hints too, and some berries. Sweet, nicely bittered flavor with dried fruits, a nice impact from the yeast, and some caramel notes. A tad thin on the palate, but with pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish with plums, dried fruits and some caramel hints. A quite tastefull and pleasant one, but it’s a bit thin on the palate, even though it’s as low as 6% ABV. 130504

Pours clear amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, dried fruits and yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, caramel, dried fruits and hops. Sweet finish and medium carbonated.

750ml split with Anndiesel. Filtered amber-orange body, fluffy beige head. A pretty mild, drinkable Belgian...think Singel of Pale Ale. Mellow smooth malt tones, a touch of vanilla, light fruity yeast tones. Minimal hop presence, just enough to balance it out, but mostly the smooth malt shines. There is a touch of astringency, mild chalkiness which isn’t so desirable, but other than that is OK. Tame.

Bottled. Hazy amber, small head. Elegant aroma of almond and orange. Mid dry with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Mellow with orange and hay. Mild finish. Pleasant and rich.
