Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a large foamy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nutty, lots of cinnamon and other spice, toasted notes, popcorn and extremely faint dark fruits. The taste is toffee, nutty notes, that same popcorn thing, dates, raisins and an herbal hop finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle @ home. Pours a fairly cloudy, dark brown appearance with a small, bubbly, cream-colored head. The nose reminds me of almost a nut brown with a toasty caramel malty, nutty, espresso, toffee smell. A touch roasty, a bit burnt, caramel malty, somewhat bitter, weird toffee flavor. This really doesn’t remind me of a doppelbock. Not all that bad but not that great either.

Bottle from the brewery
Appearance: Pours clear dark brown with a medium sized beige head that dissipates fairly quickly to a small ring leaving some light lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, nutty and some smokiness
Taste: Silky mouthfeel of toasted malts, toffee some herbal flavors with a sweet finish along with some heat
Nice and easy drinking
