This wonderful hoppy lager is a new addition to our ever-expanding Exponential (Seasonal) Series. The Crystal hops give it a clean spice while the Calypso hops give it a pleasant, almost fruity aroma. Easy to drink, perfect for a summer day out.

12 ounce can. Straw colour, slightly hazy, long lasting foam. Pilsner noble hop and bready nose. Noble hops kick it up front, kinda fade mid palate, bread malt moves in. Light bodied. Tasty for the most part. The 4.5 %abv I do appreciate.

From a 12 oz. can. Pours a clear gold with a thick and frothy white head. Aromas of bread and citrus. Grass flavor with a bit of melon. Crisp finish.

Poured from can. Smells a bit sour when opened. Pale, cloudy yellow. Mild hops, more than a typical pale lager. Just an okay beer.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2016, pours a clear pale yellow with a large white head. Aroma is very herbaceous, with lots of grassiness, herbal hops and crisp crackery notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of herbaceousness upfront, followed by grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Quite a lot of depth for a lager. Very nice stuff.

Can from Acton Wine and Spirits. Pours a slightly hazy deep yellow color with a smallish bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Citrus earthy mineral spicy aromas and little else on the nose. Citrus and orange fruitiness in the flavor, lightly herbal or earthy . Faint bready maltiness, lingering hop bitterness. Somewhat reminds me of Tang at times. Different take on a lager interesting, but not enough for me to buy again.

Bottle pour from Andover Liquors. Aroma is floral hops over European malt base. Appearance is very pale yellow with greenish tinge (sort of urine-like) with trace sparkle, 1/2 finger-width fleeting white head with fair lacing. Taste is traditional pilsner malty sweetness with fruity hops, but both are mild. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture and average to lively carbonation and crisp finish. Overall, a decent enough idea with hints of what it could be, but is pretty pedestrian.

12 oz can. Aroma is bready, chalky candy, earthy hops, minerally. Pours hazy golden with a thick white pillowy head with good retention; leaves some creative lacework. Taste has a nice medium-level bitterness alongside a mild fruity sweetness (kind of cantaloupe-like) with flavors of wheat cracker, light hay. Nice American-style pils.

Pale, straw and bright, with a medium head. Light body, saazy taste with clean, slightly doughy pale malts. A little too timid on the hop for a body this light...it invites Bitburger comparisons and doesn’t live up.

Can: Pours almost clear, yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Grain, citrus aroma. Slight pils-like taste....mild grainy bittering, barley malt, grass... Pretty nice.

Can at Craftissimo opening. Aroma is slightly hoppy pils. Taste the same. Very crisp but tastes like Tsingtao with hops added. Fine but not worth it. Luckily this can was free.
