When our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in fermenter number seven. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.
With its balance, carbonation, and complex flavor profile, Tank 7 is one of the ultimate food-pairing beers in existence. But don't just take our word for it, esteemed chefs from around the country agree. We've sat down with a bunch of them and asked them seven questions over a Tank 7.

Bottle from the beer bistro cause the lcbo didn’t seem to ship any outside of the GTA as usual. Slightly hazy yellow and a big white head. Yeasty Aroma, crisp green hops, light pine, and some soft fruit. Crisp dry finish, nice sharp hop flavours, medium bitterness.

Golden color with thick lasting foam. Funky, clove-like aroma. Taste matches the aroma, nice balance of sweetness and spiciness, finishes with a funky saison flavor.

Bottiglia.

Bottle brewed in Belgium, finally! Unclear rosé golden with a big foamy head. Brett, funk, green apples, candy sugar, overripe stone fruits such as apricots, plums, coriander seeds, orange peel, caramel, lemon zest and lemon juice, banana. Hoppy funky zesty bitterness with a bold fruity candy sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty fruity funky bittersweet finish. Great as expected.

Can. Pours a orangey-copper color with a smallish white head that has decent retention. Aroma is strong with mixed fruits such as persimmons, mangoes and kumquats. The taste like the aroma, is similarly quite strong with mixed fruits. there is a mild piney bitterness on the back end. The palate is smooth and even with soft carbonation. Finishes long with lingering fruits and a bit of acidity. Overall: Decent saison but not top shelf. This is the first time I've had it from a can and it seems like a whole different animal than the older bottled versions I remember.
