Poured into a taster showing deep dark caramel close to a port wine with a finger of tanned foam. The nose shows rich, deep oranges with sweet citric sweetness. Extremely decadent and rich yet attractive nose; nothing like it. The nose smells so naturally fruit forward; a blind whiff would probably mistake it for a wine or something. The palate is full bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of deep rich and full candied oranges with an alcohol spiciness disguised in orange zest. Light and dangerously drinkable despite the high ABV, a bottle should be shared unless you have a sweet tooth.

dark brown colour, medium sized beige head; aroma of dried fruits like plum, figs, cherry and raisin, herbal liqueur notes, caramel, toast, and some spicy alcohol; bittersweet taste with some roastedness, chocolate and dried fruits; amazing Belgian strong ale

Bottle at home. Poors dark brown, big foamy head, that dissolves into a thin head quickly. Nose moldy, yeasty, spices. Aroma is nutty, toast malt. Floral and resin hops. Spices and Belgian yeast represent. Also some dough, autumn leaves, chestnut, maple syrup. Brown sugar, alcohol. Some nice complexity going on but too brown sugary/alcoholic to really hit my charts. Carbo is low but spikey due to the high abv. (CocaCola + hops + vodka) - vanilla = Malheur 12
