Draft - Clove, ginger and cinnamon. Jet black with a thin head. Molasses, clove and ginger with a roast finish. Sweet and spicy, but a bit over the top for my tastes.

Sample at GABF 2013. Pours near black with a medium beige head. Aroma of massive gingerbread, spices, cinnamon and caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at the Hay Merchant. A black one, topped by a creamy tan head of finger thick size. Some curtains occur. Thereโs lots of gingerbread aromas in there, along with roasted malts and some booze. Honey cake hints. Itโs full bodied and war, almost sticky on the palate. Sweet flavor with lots of gingerbread, overpowering the roasted malts, molasses and coffee. Some roasted kind of bitterness towards the end. There might be too much gingerbread going on here, but itโs sure nice anyway, at least when limited to one glass. 130825

On tap at Texas Beerfest. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head that diminishes rather quickly. The aroma is cinnamon and brown sugar. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet roast and cinnamon with light dry finish. Easy to drink a very impressive Spice from Buffalo Bayou.

Sampled from the tap. Pours near black with a dark head that lasted throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma is full of ginger and spice with dark grains and a bit of pumpernickel. Flavor starts with dark grains and chocolate and finishes full of ginger and spice. Spice has a touch heavy.
