Well stored bottle. Deep amber body under a small, lacing tan head. Aroma has lots of oak with dry fruit, malt, red vine and a bit funky. Taste has dry fruit, malt, red wine, red berries, vinegar and lots of oak. Balanced body with a tart aftertaste. Quite nice but a bit too much taste of wood.

On tap at Valhalla Zagreb. Almost black with red glare, medium sized pale beige head, sour fruity and berry nose. Sour fruity, berries, light wood and light acetic touch with some red wine notes in the finish. Well done.

On tap at Valhalla, Zagreb. Looks black to me. Small but lasting tan head. Very nice tart black fruit aroma, blackberry and blueberry. Slightly funky, slightly roasty, glue. Wine barrel presence. Fine dried fruit layer. Slightly funky, flavours range from dark fruit, wood, cocoa, black grapes. Light tannins. Beautiful cocoa in the finish. Good balance, sourness present. Also fruit jam sweetness. Very smooth. Finish is tart, gentle.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - deep brown with some orange chinks. Nice lacy head. Nose - chocolate, strangely. Brandy balls. Dried sour fruit. Taste - vinous and raisins. HP sauce. Big wood note. Must’ve used some form of foudres. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy sweet finish. Overall - lovely. They could go a bit more sour but still good.

Keg at TTO at BD Brighton. It pours black with a decent beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, vinous, juicy, red grape, berry compote, roasted malt, jam on charred toast and light vanilla. The taste is tart, tangy, roasted malt, toasty, vinous, jammy berry, fruit compote, earthy, wood, tannin, lemon sherbet and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine - moderate carbonation. Very fruity and quaffable. Complex and balance. A quality brew.
