Barrel-Aged Barleywine
The soul of Barleywine channeled through vivifying bourbon barrels and blended with an alchemist's touch. Summon notes of caramel, stone fruit, brown sugar, and vanilla with each generous swirl.

Can from Tavour as Straight Jacket. Pours dark and ruddy amber with a transient, but large, beige/tan head. Aroma of toffee and bourbon. Full bodied. There is definitely head. Flavor is toffee, bourbon, and hints of floral and stone fruit. Not dry, but heat obscures sweet. Excellent and tasty sipper.

Can from Revolution. It pours clear dark reddish - brown with decent yellow - tan head. The aroma is massive bourbon right in you face, intoxicating, sweet, sticky, vanilla, touch of coconut, bourbon biscuits, toasty, unctuous and oily, toffee, fudge, dried fruits, date, raisin, sultana and fruit cake. The taste is slick, sweet, sticky, oily, unctuous, toffee, fudge, heavy hit of bourbon, brashness which dissipates, warming booze, big vanilla vibes, vanilla ice cream, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, date, plum pudding, bourbon biscuits, toasted brown sugars and some warming spice with a slick, toffee bourbon finish. Fulsome body, fine and oily mouth feel. Sweet, unctuous and oily action. So much Bourbon filth. Works well for a sippin ale.

Can, most likely from Virby44. Brown with a frothy to creamy head. Aroma of bourbon, toffee, oak. There’s also a chocolate diversion. All of it fairly subdued. Pleasant, but not the richest BW I’ve sniffed. Taste is mildly sweet up front, increasingly bitter at the back, which is dry and full of bourbon. Full bodied, modest carbonation. Pleasant sipping. The barrel is strong, but the beer is still quite identifiable underneath.

Hazy but translucent deep orange-red-brown body, medium, clumping, dissipating beige head. Big sticky nose with caramel, brown sugar, bourbon, oak, and alcohol. Intensely sugary, vinous body, complex and layered beneath the sugar onslaught, with brown sugar, butterscotch, bourbon, sherry, raisin, oak, tea leaves, and a slick soy finish. Very good, too sweet for elite status, but right up there.

Can, courtesy of Sergey, as Revolution Straight Jacket, 15% ABV
Mahogany colour. Malt and bourbon aroma. Sweet but in balance with alcohol strength and bitterness, caramel flavour, elegant bourbon.
Considering the extreme ABV, it's well done.
