Draught at Carlsens Kvarter. Slightly hazy amber with a lasting off-white head. Great hop aroma, pine and spruce with some complex peach and other fruits, a touch of orange and spicy malt notes.
The flavour is filled with caramel and rye malt, complex hop flavours and a heavy hop bitterness. The obvious comparison is Ølfabrikken Rug IPA and this one is cleaner, with both malt and hops appearing more sophisticated. Outstanding IPA

66 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is light pinewood and mangofruity. Light rye malt presence, crisp caramel and mango, orange and apple fruity hops flavours. Smooth and crisp bitter finish alongside a nice fruity lingering finish.

Draft. An amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma has strong notes of NW hops - is it Magnum? As well as lighter notes of caramel. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of hops - again I’m thinking NW hops combined with some Nelson Sauvin, on a strong caramel/toffee back ground, and with the alcohol combining with the hops to bite the tongue, before the long lasting and very bitter finish sets in.
