Ale with currants added and aged in oak barrels.

When we made the Toronado’s 20th Anniversary Ale, we had no idea that it would turn out to be one of our favorite barrel aged beers we would ever make. With that said, we have always wanted to make a dark barrel aged beer using 100% Cabernet Sauvignon barrels but, we never were inspired. That is, until we blended five different beers to make the Toronado beer, the tobacco character from the the dark malts blended nicely with the furit character that developed in blending. So, with Concescration we set out to make a barrel beer using all Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. No, we are not saying that this is a replica of the T-rooms anniversary beer, after all, a beer like that can never be duplicated, and, there was no fruit added to that beer as there is with this one. All we are saying is that it gave us great inspiration to brew Consecration.

From tap at Russian River, Santa Rosa. Aroma is vinous with red wine, grapes, sour red and dark fruits, tart berries, vinegar, caramel, wood, and light funk. Flavour is nicely puckering sour. Body is above medium, rich.. Complex with a stunning tart dark fruity aroma, ample grapes and berries, a great wine sour!

4oz pour on a flight on 16th June 2024 (Father's Day) in Lido Bottle Works, Newport Beach. Murky amber/purple wispy off-white top. Sour berries with a funky side, not my thing really, but glad I've tried it.

Clear amber colour, minimal ecru-ish lacing; aroma of acetone, some vinegar, dry white wine, tons of oak barrel, sour cherry, red grape and wine cellar notes; taste is the exact same; excellent Flemish sour ale

Poured from 375mL bottle (2015 vintage; bottled 10.08.15; abv listed as 7.75%). Hazed amber with minimal off white head. Dark fruit, vinous, light wood, balsamic notes, really smooth, great stuff.

bottle c&c. Pours a lovely reddish brown color with a small white head that quickly fizzes away. The aroma is strong with brett and claret wines. The taste is over-the-top tart wine grapes, sour cherries and oak. The palate is full and oily. Finishes long with lingering tart wines Overall: decent- paired well with some reggiano
