We added a bitter twist to the classic red ale. Candied plums on the nose with a toffee and caramel taste is overtaken by a hoppy bitterness.
We've used a combination of Old and New World hop varieties to balance out the sugary malt to create this bitter-sweet ale.

Malts: Maris Otter, Munich, Wheat, Chocolate
Hops: Summit, Cascade, Bobek

Keg at Shilling in the city centre of Glasgow. Deeper amber coloured with a small head. Sessionable red style ale , heavier in its nose, but favourable in the palate.

On keg at Shilling. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a nice fluffy head. Nose - crunchy biscuit and toffee. Looking for red fruit but instead I’m getting something resembling dried oranges. Taste - more oranges and toffee. Dry crunchy biscuit at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - getting into Butter territory here. Nice enough.
