Bottle from Thirsty, Cambridge. Consumed on site. Somewhere between golden and straw. Lightly cloudy with a wispy white head. Orange peel and kumquat aroma. Full, heady and sharp. The bitterness in the taste underlies the sip from start to finish, starting gently bittersweet and fruity, moving to a pronounced bitterness, and finishing more balanced with a tempering malt note... and the final finish is long and bitter. Gentle carbonation. Yum.

Bottle. Murky orange body with a medium off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of peach, apricot, bread and candy floss. Flavour of orange pith, grapefruit and peppery grass. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Fruity and flavoursome. More of a Session IPA than a Bitter. Very nice.

24th March 2016: bottle at the Shrewsbury Beer Club (in Chez Sophie). Poured gold, slight haze to the body, the head a white fluffy affair. Tropical fruits burst out of the brew with a grapefruit lead and finish: both refreshing and interesting. Bitter or IPA or APA, don’t know, just enjoyed it.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy gold, white head. Definite yeasty fruity aroma, fresh citrus and hints of lime. Taste is fresh, fruity yet light and sessionable. Little bursts of hop fruit emerge and dissipate. Really quite a lovely colourful session bitter / IPA whatever. But really, Ian pretty much nailed it below.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury and drunk on the train home. Some earthy hop aroma. Wow big hop impact in the mouth. Yes you do get a good yeast aroma with some fruit. It’s a tropical fruit session bitter delight. You almost want to put a parasol in it. Wow that vic secret fruit is lovely just a burst of tropical fruits. Wow. I mean could I drink pints of this. Not sure. But it pinned me to the back of the seat and wouldn’t let me go. It’s kinda like being tied down by your partner and being slowly brought to a glowing orgasm. I rather liked it. Unsubtle but just so remarkable the aftertaste just goes on and on

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Opaque, orangey gold. Stream of fine bubbles (nucleated Cloudwater glass) keep alive a good, fine bubbled, white head. Nose has big fresh hop. Notes of tropical fruit salad. Pithy grapefruit. Hints of lemon. The Vermont yeast does seem to give an extra depth, too? Taste is crisp and punchy, zesty bitter. Barely any sweetness. Akin to drinking fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Clean, refreshing mouthfeel. Long, zesty, pithy bitter finish. Just up my street.

Keg at Brewdog Shep’s Bush. Translucent bright golden/ orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is big citra hop, light dank, juicy, grassy, orange. Flavour is composed of big orange rind base grains, slight raw grain, dank. Assertive balanced bitter citrus, little grapefruit note lingers. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation, nice dry finish. Packs a good punch.

Keg at BDSB - London. Pours cloudy gold with a lasting, creamy white head. The nose holds citrusy hops, some pale grains, grapefruit. Light sweet flavor with nice pithy citrus fruits, pale bread, hay, light grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation and massaging texture. Lightly resinous to close, with more pithy citrus, tangerine rind, grapefruit, pale bread. Good stuff.
