This dark Weissbier retains its aromatic character thanks to the select choice of Hallertau aroma hops and highest quality Bavarian wheat and dark barley malts.
Its characteristic, distinctive maroon colour is a feast for the eyes. Then there’s the opalescence and fine structure of the yeast turbidity. The perfect complement is provided by the very creamy, fine pored head. This dark Weissbier from the Holy Mountain will delight connoisseurs with a harmonious interplay of fruity odours, above all ripe bananas and pineapple, with undertones of caramel and cocoa.
Andechser Weissbier Dunkel teases the tongue with a delicate tanginess carried by a round, soft body. A light caramel sweetness harmonises well with the fine hoppy bitterness. It concludes on a soft and refreshing note (original extract: 12.5%, abv: 5.0%).

50cl bottle @ NBF 2018. Poured dark brown color with a thin white head. Wheat, hint of cocoa, sweetness. Sweet wheat flavours, banana and hint of chocolate. Long finish. Excellent. On the lighter side perhaps.

Bottle 0.5l at home, Nivala. BBE 30 11 18. Color is dark brown with large creamy slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, banana, some ripe fruits, syrup, bread and malts. Malty weissbier. Some hints of chocolate and nuts. Enjoyable.

Bottle poured into shaker glass, brownish red and clear. Full bodied and creamy, with caramel malt aroma. Sweetish banana malt taste.

Smell of banana, bread, some yeast. Dark brown colour, high light brown head. Aroma of yeast, mead, wheat, bread, banana comes in finish. Sweet with a faint bitterness. Plentiful, soft carbon. Not as spot on as their hefeweizen, but still very nice.

Pours a nice dark brown with some reddish hints. Classic weizen head, off-white, good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, a soft dough-like feel, fruity notes (mostly banana) and spiciness. Reasonably intense. Taste confirms what the aroma suggested with obviously high sweetness (medium per style) and a bit more spiciness (clove) than usual. Light to medium bodied with a gentle/soft carbonation that gives it a nicely smooth, slighty creamy feel. Overall a well crafted beer and definitely a good example of the style.

Draught @ Andechser am Dom, München. Smooth, slightly bready and caramely dunkelweizen with some wheaty yeastiness and hints of earthiness. Okay.

Fles gedeeld met Roelzie1986. Het is een donker bruin bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, licht zoet en wat waterig.
