One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews. Carnegie Porter was brewed for the first time in 1836 and tastes the same today as it did then. Carnegie Porter has a creamy head with a scent of coffee. Its sweet and well rounded flavor is balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Storage helps the flavor mature and enhances its harmony.

33cl bottle @ Arlanda airport. Almost black, beige, thin head. Roasted malt, sweetness, soy sauce in aroma. Flavor has roasted malt, mild coffee notes, licorice. Long sweet finish with caramel. Thin body.

Bottle from the Malmo government store. Black, very bubble, tall, airy head. Roasty nose of soy, umami, coffee, chocolate. Mellow, malty falvor, lots of chocolate some soy and coffee, hops in the finish. Slightly meaty. Prickly, roasty finish. Mellow but prickly body.

Bottle. Pours clear very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with notes of fruit. Bitter, roasty onset, replaced by sweetish notes of caramel malt and coffee. Sweetish, malty aftertaste, disturbed byba metallic note. OK but not the very best Baltic Porter I have had.

Bottle shared by Peter Bognar. Aroma coffee, chocolate, soapy. Light fruity. Dark brown colour. Stable head. Taste is chocolate, roasted, coffee. Rather sweet. Nicely smooth, easily drinkable. Overall good light porter.

Aroma has some nice roast malt with a little hops. Light for a baltic porter, both in flavour and strength. Pours dark maroon-brown with good head and decent lacing. Soft carbonation. Finish is bitter and sour. Well-balanced body but light. Bottle.

A colabrown beer with a weak and light brown head. Aroma is nice and balancd, roastiness, coffee, some chocolate and liquirice, ryebready sourness. Taste is strongly roasted and bready, coffee and soem dry bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Easy, but tastefull beer.
