Cask @ Bear and Billet, Chester [270115]
Light blonde, clear, thin white head
Aroma of soft fruits, soft cereal malts, dull nose, no hops
Taste of light malt, touch of dry zest, bit of yeast, soft minerals
Palate - Light body, fairly bitter. Finish is just very dry bitter, dry, dry, dry
Overall - Plain stuff. Just lots of dryness. It least it does what it says on the tin.

Pint at the Victoria, Lincoln. Very pale yellow gold, with a white head. Aroma was almost nothing, just light hops. Taste is a touch sharpe, with citrus hops.

Cask. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a neat lacing white head. Nose is basically sweet and malty with a vague whiff of diacetyl. Light body, lowish carbonation, fruity with a subdued bitterness. Fairly bland to be honest. 300113

Hand pulled pint in the local (Cock Hotel, Wellington, Shropshire) on 6th April 2012. This is a regular guest around Shropshire and I was surprised I hadn’t reviewed it before. Light golden body (almost lager-like) with a thinning white head. Aroma a mini-mix of mild malty molasses and citrusy hops: they come and go in the breeze interchanging as they go. The taste is also a mix of the same flavours in the smell: the beer becoming a little more bitter towards the end of each sip. Looks weaker than it is: good depth of flavours with an alcohol content that suits it.

Low but unappealing aroma, but an unexpectedly nice malty taste to this ale.
