[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Phoenix and Apollo hops according to the pump clip - not sure if they rotate the hops in this. A glossy peaty brown coloured pour with a thin caramel coloured head; aroma of roasted grains and coffee; lactic body with an immediate bitterness from both the dark roast and the hops; then some berry fruit and chocolate in the tail, and a lasting bitterness to finish. A nice stout.

Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A rather nice stout with some weird notes.
