Have you read the description for the regular Crooked Tree yet? Well this beer is almost the same just double the flavor and alcohol. We actually took the Crooked Tree recipe and doubled all of the ingredients except the water, just the way a DOUBLE should be made. Big hops balanced with tons of malt give this beer a huge body. Although this beer is as cool as "The Fonz" when first purchased, it gets really mellow and smooth with some age. After a year or two stored in a cool dark place you'll notice the heavy caramel and malt flavors are trying to sneak past the hops. This beer is hugely delicious so it will need your undivided attention (the chores can wait....trust us).

Can at home. Unclear amber with white head. Sweet caramel malts, rye, orange peel, grapefruit, toasted pineapple, earl grey tea with lots of sugar, spruce, resin, light dank onions. Big sweet and bitter. Full body and soft carbonation.

355ml bottle, 12% not 13.6%. Pours a deep hazy reddy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, spicy hops and pine. Taste is similar, a bit of a malt bomb with strong caramel and toffee notes, sweet, boozy, hop spice, pine, resin, more booze, some bitterness but not as strong as expected. Medium-full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. I love a big boozy DIPA and this is a nice sipper but a little too boozy to really enjoy.

Creamy beige head stayed on a hazy, reddish brown still body. Huge aroma of malt, grape, overripe fruit & stewed fruit - were in Barley Wine territory here..... Medium bodied, super smooth with a tingle on the back. Caramel taste burst to the fore followed by over stewed fruit, grape, hop overdose, onion & bitter pith.

Keg at BrewDog Lothian Road. Amber body with a thin off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of pineapple and apricot. Flavour of orange zest, menthol and golden syrup. Medium to full body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Well balanced and easy to drink for the ABV.
