Bottle at De Koffer, Groningen. Aroma is strong vanilla, creamy custard, milk chocolate, malt, caramel. Flavour is about medium sweet and a little bitter. Body is medium to full. I expected a bit more, but it’s a good ’dessert beer’.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color, malt, caramel and a hint of roast in the aroma and flavor. Sweet with a hint of licorice. Some earthy hops. Decent.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Cloudwater / Kees Custard Porter ].Clear dark red brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, light chocolate, light vanilla, moderate hoppy, citrus - grass, wood. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, chocolate - dakr chocolate, fruity hops, vanilla, medium dry, smooth. Bottle from the Bier Koning, Amsterdam. Poured a clear reddish brown with a thin white head. The aroma is zesty citrus, creamy custard. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich alcoholic bitter fruit vanilla palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Thin off white head. Clear deep brown pour. Some vanilla amd chocolate. Nice bitter aftertaste. Very good.

330ml bottle from Beermerchants. Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth head. Aroma of vanilla, dill, bubble gum and roasty malts. Taste is smooth, sweetish and stuffy with some vanilla beans, bubble gum, dill and mild roastiness. Finish is stingy with dill, bubble gum and vanilla, hints of roastiness, chocolate and coffee. A decent porter ruined with sorachi ace.

Bottle from Drank van de Meisjes, small sample. Slight hazy copper color, short frothy head. Aroma of quite some sorachi ace, bit coconut and vanilla, some caramel and chocolate. Bit dry in taste, slight vanilla sweetness, medium bitterness. Not what I expected to be honest. Sorachi Ace quite prominent and not as much vanilla as I thought. The regular RISses from Kees are much more towards a custard porter than this sorachi ace brown IPA.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, courtesy of and shared with the fine Belgian RB crew. Ambrée/acajou, col fin beige rosâtre. Arôme au nez plaisant avec de suite une certaine douceur, de vanille mais qui tire vers le côté crème anglaise, custard, rétro de fruits noirs/rouges, qcq épices presque hivernales. Malt modéré de cara, pâle voire chocolat. Palais est malté, fruité noir tirant plus vers les baies sauvages. Petite touche surette avec un fini adouci de vaille et vraiment ce rappel de custard pie.

From Tap. Trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Zimt, Gewürze, Orangen. Geschmack sehr würzig, Zimt, Orangen, rote Früchte.
