Cask at The Old Bell Inn. Amber body with a light haze and a thin off-white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, wood and tea. Flavour of stewed apple, pine and earth. Thin body with a watery texture. No fizz. Sweet and earthy.

On cask @ Holyrood 9A. Appearance - deep amber with a nice frothy head. Nose - a mixture of biscuity malt and red fruits, maybe even some marmalade. Yep, it’s jammy dodgers. Taste - more jammy dodgers, but using hobnobs as the biscuit. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a balanced dry finish. Overall - yes, very nice example of the style.
