Keg at the Imperial, Glasgow. Slightly ruddy light to mid-brown, clear with a film of off-white head. Light malty aroma. Not much there. Taste is decent although muted: sweet at first with a stewed tea bitterness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not great but enjoyable enough for what it is.

Keg at Lauriston. It pours clear brown with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, toothy, chewy, nutty, metallic, rivita and meatiness. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, metallic, woody, rivita, tannin, ashy, brown bread, cardboard earthy and leather with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Basic shit.

Rocky off white head left a cover on a dark amber still body. Spicy berry aroma. Medium bodied thinning out to the back with pleasant carbonation. Sweet berries, malt, raisin & pepper tastes with a tangy finish.

Tried at the keys pub in St. Andrews. Deep amber colour with a pale tan head. And that’s where the good ends. Watery aroma and taste. Very thin.

From old tasting notes. Tawny copper , brown color. Rocky beige head. Interesting toffeeish toasted malt nose. Tangy toasted malt flavor is a bit thin of body. Bittersweet malty middle. Brief dry finish.

Pint, keg at St Ola Bar in Kirkwall. Clear dark amber body. Spotty lacing from a dissipating beige head. Modest caramel aroma. Caramel flavours added by a touch of marmalade. Short mid sweet malty end. Drinkable, rather tasteless however (16.04.2016).
