As still WFH and I likle the stats am adding on historical ticks. When the brewery first opened they were giving away samples at a local garden centre, where I tried this. Cask in the Spoons ate Liverpool Street Station. Insipid.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2015. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. A malty bitter, with a touch of hedgerow fruit and lingering, bitter finish. Fine.

Cask @ Richard John Blackler, Liverpool. Amber with a small head. A crisp, well-balanced ale that’s easy drinking but never gets stated in any aspects of its character. There’s some pale malts in its nose.

Pint on tap at the Finger Post, Offerton. Distant malt nose. Still bronze beer with lasting white head. Slight bitter taste with subtle orange/lemon in the finish. A little caramel toffee appears late on. One of Robinson’s more interesting beers. Good for a couple.

27th March 2015: draught pint in the George Bar, part of a large hotel near Liverpool Street Station (London). Clear amber pour with a good white head. It’s fruity man. Easy blend of maltiness and fruity hops in both the nose and taste: semi-sweet but fairly balanced. OK rather than fantastic.

Cask at the King and Castle, Tourist Town Central, 17/03/15. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is a little thin, light malts, toffee, straw, fruit notes, hint metallic. Taste comprises earthy tones, straw, light fruit peel, touch of red berry. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterings. So so, looks and feels good but doesn’t deliver at the business end.
