Bottle. Cotteridge. Gingery amber. Light haze. Dense, fine, off white head. Nose has gluey, stewed, fruity hop. Notes of pineapple and toffee. Hint of passion fruit and fruity malt. Robust, to say the least. Taste is oily, fusel bitter. Big, oily chew. Some sweet lippage. Long, fruity, oily, resinous bitter finish. Gets stone fruit earthy on the close. Big beer.

Keg at The Twisted Barrel Brewery Tap, Coventry, Friday 8th July 2016 Pours more orange/light amber than the gold I was expecting, really lively pour so huge frothy white head initially. Resin, orange, a little marmalade juicy, fruity, lots going on here but quite a thick and substantial mouthfeel. Lovely bittersweet balance, tasty beer, like it. We had four half’s of this beer. Pretty clean dipa but a bit one-dimensionable. Not bad.
