Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of malts, hops, apricot, honey and citrus. Bitter flavour, honey, apricots, spices and lingering sweetness. Quite bitter finish, sweet, honey and peach.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown color with a small off white head. This ones got a little bit of everything. Its surprisingly hoppy. It has got notes of orange and toffee. But its still not overly sweet. Heavy buttery notes. Smooth.

Bottle from brewdog.com. Hazy brown color with huge off-white head. Aroma of caramel, figs, honey, dates, grapefruity hops. Taste, sweet malt, honey, floral hops, bee wax, spices. Strong alcoholic finish with hoppy touch. Excellent beer.

Sampled from bottle @ ZZT VI. Hazy reddish color, medium sized off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Smell malts, sweetness, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, sticky texture, alcohol, some bitter. Superb beer!

75 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info Rated on 21.03.2015 Sweet and malty aroma with lots of caramel, some american hops, fruits and berries. Flavour has harsh malt, caramel, some vanilla, fruits, berries and distant oaky notes. Dry finish with stronger oak aromas. Warming alcohol in throat, otherwise the 11% is very well hidden. Just too American ( = sweet). 8-3-7-4-16 = 3.8 75 cl bottle @ home. Marking on the bottleneck: 2011 10.13? Aroma has sweet malt and raisins. Flavour has sweet-ish malt, raisins, some mild hops and hints of menthol. Pleasantly aged and balanced; not too sweet as it used to be but then again age has probably eaten the most sharp edges. 7-4-8-4-16 = 3.8

Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of strong and sweet caramely malty notes, syrup, fruits, berries and wood. Taste is strong, sweet and malty with syrup, caramel, toffee, hints of wood and hoppy fruits. Finish is sweetish and smooth with warming malty notes, some bitter hoppy notes as well. Quite well balanced, but perhaps a bit too sweet for my taste.

A reddish brown beer with a dense and beige head. Aroma of toffee, some caramell, lots of hops that are mix of citrusfruits, pine and wood. The great balance of sweet toffeeish malts and lots of piney hops in the taste. Also, some caramell, pine, wood and some herbs in the aftertaste. Full bodied, smooth and nice to drink. Balanced, US-style Barley wine with lots of hops, powerfull, but also very easy and enjoyable.
