Again a 0,33 l can out of the Beer Republic calender. Missing the next days due to collecting beers in syddanmark. Cloudy dark golden in the glass, more than one finger white head. Intensive floral hoppy aroma with resin, pine and honey. Taste starts with an intensive hop bitterness, dry and less fruity. Increasing malty to the end. Present alcoholic with a long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Below average carbonated.

Dark blond colour with lacy head. A very earthy and piney hop profile. Really strong and bitter. Very good.

Can from Dec. 1st Beer Republic calendar 2023! Mostly clear amber, big head, citrus pine nose with the requisite caramel notes. The flavor is very smooth West Coasty bitterness, a bit weedy. But the bitterness, that's really smooth for over eighty ee-booos! Extra point for that as it's unusual to get this powerful without being harsh and unpleasant.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic, advent 2023 #1. Rechtstreeks uit blik, treinbier naar Fear Factory. Dennen, hars, caramel, toffee, gist, fors bitter, bijna galbitter. Medium body. Degelijk.

Backlog September 2011. Unclear dark golden body under a dense off-white head. Aroma has fresh citric fruit, peaches and caramel malt. Taste is sweet caramel malt, biscuit, citric fruit, peach, some alcohol and nice, distinct bitterness. Fine body with long lasting, fruity and bitter aftertaste. A classic.

Mõru, kuiv, männine,vaigune, karamelline, linnaseline, nats alkone, linnaseline. Ok.

Mostly clear golden amber body medium foamy off white head. Floral resiny aroma. Floral resiny citrus flavor. Medium body moderate carbonation. 7/3/8/4/15 3.7

Conf Tap Racca's 8-27-16 Bottle Ninkasi 4-13-15

Draft pour pint at Tipsy Cow, Woodinville. Listed at 8.8%. Classic double and a half IPA here. This was actually one of the first beers I ever tried. During my introduction to beer, it was a blonde, a hefe, and a big bitter beer, which was this one. It sure seems like Ninkasi has been around since the very beginning, yet I only ever get in on their beers during brewers nights at random places. The last time I had this particular beer was probably 6 years ago, in a pitcher, at a sports bar that doesn't even exist anymore. Good times. Golden orange pour, mostly clean. Aroma leans on malt, some caramel, a touch sweet. Flavor is quite a sharp bitter constant. Flavor presents some booze, but it's still a relatively smooth beer, all things considered. Something seperates Ninkasis IPAs grim all the rest, but I can't quite pinpoint what it is. I like it for sure, but my type of classic IPA preference might be a little different than most others, because this beer seems to be a legend here in the PNW. I'd enjoy this again for sure.

Rich copper coloured body with a two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of earthier hops with some nutty malt character and a noticeable yeast aroma as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and hop flavour with a dose of alcohol, some more subdued malt characteristics along with a great mellow-ish character showing some yeast, a hint of toffee and caramelised sugars and a grassy and earthy finish. Aftertaste is noticeable hoppy and bitter, but not as much as I expected, and perhaps showing more sweetness than I figured, but very low-key and balanced. Overall, a nice IPA that isn’t really ’Imperial’ by any means, but a decent beer nonetheless and worth trying if it isn’t horribly expensive. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 13-May-2017 for US$6,99 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore in Pungoteague, Virginia on my birthday, 30-June-2017.
