Bottled. Reddish brown colour, off-white beigeish brown head. Aroma is aroma is very spices, some sweet malts and mild dried fruits. Flavour is spices, some nutmeg, mild sweet malts and some slight toasted tones.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, modertely lasting and lacing, beige head. Spicy and dark malty aroma, notes of ginger, hints of nutmeg and cinnamon, allspice, a touch of black pepper, clove, pimento, minimally nutty background. Taste is dry, minimally soapy, spicy and dark malty with a touch of liquorice, hints of ginger, a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon, cardamom, clove, allspice. Slightly unbalanced, un-integrated, minimally soapy. It's always a surprise how different the outcome can be, although a rather similar combination of spices is used in many Xmas beers.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel ginger aroma. Sweetish malty spicy dry caramel nutmeg ginger flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel bitter ginger finish.

Bottled. A red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger, leading to a dry spicy finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild herbal. Toasted dark malty. Soapy, spiced and dry roasted malty. Bitter and mild herbal finish.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a deep dark brown with medium tan head. Some prominent Christmas pudding / fruitcake flavours, not too much in the fig department, but a nice and warming winter beer all the same.

Aroma - Strong spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, Christmas pudding spices, sweet dark juicy malt underneath
Taste - Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet dark malts, molasses, figs, no roast, dab of treacle, some nice dark fruity malts underneath, spices are a bit aggressive which cover up the malts, gets a bit cloying after a while
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, sweet. Finish has lots of spice, some powdery spice bitterness
Overall - Certainly a Christmas beer and does the job well, quite a decent flavour, but would be improved with a bit less spice chucked in
