Fles 50cl in Hirschhorn. Wat kruidige smaak, redelijk krachtig. Weinig spannend. (8-2010).

Pours brown with copper edges and tan head of foam. The aroma has hints of winter spice, coriander, cinnamon, plums, a touch of malts, roast and caramel. Smells of smooth blended aged goodness. The taste is much the same with smooth plums, spices, a light amount of malts, roast and caramel. The modest roasty malts sort of dries it out into the finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge and off-white head. Mild earthy and vague breadish malt aroma. Mild sweetness, vague metallic note. A more fruity flavour appears after the initial impression, lasting throughout. Smooth yet with a decent bitterness and light cornish note.

Bottled. Deep golden colour with amber hints, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is nice breadyness along with caramel malts, some grassy hops. Flavour is quite much the same with some slight, almost diacetylic notes. Rather mouthdrying palate.

The bottle looks good, bit it could be a little bit more colorful. The beer is modest spicy, very drinkable, unfortunaltely also a little bit alcoholic. Nevertheless a good beer.
