Bottle 330ml (Utobeer). Dark brown color, small brownish head. Strange fermenting gas aroma, some toasted notes. Medium-bodied. Coffeish, and harsh bitterish flavor. Not very balanced.

330ml bottle from beer hive. Pours dark brown, thin beige head. Aromas of wood, ash, charcoal, pine and burnt orange. Taste is bitter, almost cheesy with hops, more charcoal notes. Quite challenging, could be smoother.

Bottle from Ship in a Bottle, shared with friends. Espresso head over a deep black body. Spotty lacing. Mixed aromas of dark fruits and roasted malts. Comprehensive taste profile of smoked malts, red orange, pears, and dark chocolate. Citrus shells to a bittersweet ending. Well bodied. Likable (hotel room, Liverpool 02.02.2015).

5 Kay, 7.5 Kay, 10 Kay Tasting. Lightly hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Small pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Mellow mild dark malts, very mild roast. Bitterish piney hops with a trace of bitter orange marmalade. Unusual does of violets/lavender before a light dry finish. Bottle thanks to Mad Mitchy. It pours dark brown with a thick light tan head. The nose is bitter-sweet, roasted malt, plenty of citrus, stewed orange and candy. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, coffee, charred wood, chocolate, resin, warming alcohol and liquorice with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Rather nice nose to it. Decent black IPA.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Krazy Ken! Pours unclear brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has toasted grains, burnt pine, earth, orange rind. Light to medium sweet flavor with herbal hops, more rindy citrus, minerals, ash. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Oily, resinous finish with some bittersweet cocoa, more earth, pine. Not bad.
