12 oz bottle poured. Once upon a time I was down in the Bend/Redmond area, and found this on draft, and it was my very first experience with Cascade Lakes. Main thing I take from that, is that the beer was solid enough for me to remember what beer it was. Picked this bottle up somewhere in Seattle recently. I was looking forward to this. The label looks to be slapped on by hand about 30 degrees off of being centered. The artwork looks like something I used to draw up in math class back in high school. Only I can’t draw. I’m about as good at drawing as I am at rating beers. You can tell what I’m trying to do, but just barely. The beer pours a bright orange color with a rocky foam head. Soft hop, spice malt, and metallic aroma. Flavor is barely floral, bready malt that is a good balance with the hops. Not quite sold on the hop profile, but the balance is good, and it drinks easy. A little different than your typical IPA. Not bad.

Sampled from nitro at Bier Stein. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces beautifully. Aroma combines flora and citrus with a light grain backing. Flavor has grass and bitter citrus note with a bit if bread and light grains supporting.

The world is full of IPAs, full of dull IPAs indistinguishable from each other. It makes you want to even stop trying. Then something actually decent comes along when you quit looking. This beer was one of those. Picked up this beer just because it was a single in a local grocery store. Poured it half thinking it would soon be poured down the drain. But it was actually good, fun, something I liked and happy to have enjoyed. 12oz bottle. Golden color. Not a lot of lacing. Lemon hops, lemony tea biscuits, ad a slightly sweet raisin bread character. A nice mix of bright lemony hops and a slightly sweet maltiness. Neither too much, well balanced.

Mild IPA, not quite the usual bite others are known for from this region. Light amber in color with thin head. Aroma is subdued hops, taste is caramel malt with a tiny hops nip at the tail end. Some lingering bitterness on the palate. A good started IPA for someone not used to the style.
