Brewed with Motueka hops this pale ale starts with a biscuity malt base, leading to a wonderful tropical fruit hop flavour and aroma, and ends with a crisp clean finish.

Cask-conditioned, at the Gryphon, Bristol, September 2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Citrus hops, some tropical fruits and crisp malts, before a moderately dry finish. Good.

An utterly boring ale.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 18.07.16. Aroma of lime juice, mint, dried fruits, cp and pale malt. Similar taste. Not great.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden with a very thin head. Hoppy and fruity, and very stated in both aspects with lots of tropical flavours and a small citrus bitterness.

Lukt: Fin duft av frukter, plomme, stikkelsbær og andre.
Utseende: Fin gyllen farge.
Skum/kullsyre: Tykt dekkende skum, heng langs kant.
Smak: Nydelig fruktig smak, noe bitter avslutning.

500ml bottle: BBE July 2015. Taken at home on 14th April 2015. Mini haze to the golden blonde pour, thin white covering for a head. Fruity hop nose with a tropical/citrus feel: the taste follows along the same lines. Another citrusy flavoured golden brew really: but with a bit of character and class.

Bottle from Booths, MediaCityUK [241114]
Amber, slight haze, thin white head
Aroma of light sweet caramel, light toffee, hardly any hops
Taste of soft caramel malts, light toffee, some butter biscuit, no fruits, soft bitter hops, dab of scorched caramel, not good
Palate - Very soft carb, light body, bit oily. soft sweet. Finish of butter biscuit caramel, some more bitter hops
Overall - No tropical fruits in this. Too malty. Poor showcase for this hop. Disappointed with this as normally beers from this brewery are very good.

Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light clean pale malts, thin creamy sweetness. Whisper of lactose. Mild Motueka sweet floralness. Trace of something fruity. Minerally crisp finish. Not bad but I would have liked more Motueka.
