0.33 l bottle, huge thanks to Adam for this! Pours deep, hazy golden with thick white head. Nose is typical Belgian, yeasty-flowery, with a pronounced hoppy presence and some faint, but fairly detectable smoke in he background. In taste it's somewhat less complex, there is the usual saison character again, with a more-than-usual hoppy bitterness and some booze too. Has light to medium body, lively (in fact a bit too much) carbonation and closes with long lasting boozy-fruity-bitterish (yeah, that's right) finish. A bit weird, but I definitely liked it.

Bottle at home. Fruity smokey Aroma of zesty citrus, orange peel, smoked malt, bread, yeast, some spicy and herbal notes, hint of apricot. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Nice Smoked Saison-ish beer!

Bottle from Foeders, drunk while reading Wool upon which Silo is based. Dark gold with light haze, huge lasting fine head, very nice cellary Belge aroma with hints of caramel and light smokiness. The flavor is sublime, full bodied with smooth carbonation and very complex yeast flavors, citrusy hops, and a wee hint of smoke rounding it all out. Light acidity as well, with nice farmhouse overtones balancing out the package. Fantastic beer.

Bottle picked up from Foeders online Haarlem, Netherlands. Had this at home Wednesday 19th April 2023 in the company of Jude, listening to Scott Lavene (various tracks) cooking Lemon and Basil Risotto. Pours gold with a slight murky haze, there is a small off white head. Quite dry from the off, a little spicy yeastyness makes its presence known. Smooth, nice soft carbonation. Easy drinking for the abv, the smokiness is that subtle I had completely forgotten about it.

5/X/22 - on tap @ DOK Brewing Company (Gent), BB: n/a (2022-1351)

Clear orange blond beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, a bit fruity, floral, yeasty, some banana, nice, but no smoke? Is this supposed to be a smoked ale? MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very yeasty, lots and lots of banana, bitter, herbal, floral touch. Aftertaste: more yeast, pretty sweet, banana, bitter and soapy finish.

Forholdvis pålitelige notater fra en travel dag på The Great British Beer Festival, London 02.08.22: lett uklar gylden, fint skum som varer. Litt aroma og smak av røykmalt balanseres av den fine citrussmaken.
