Smooth slightly malty beginning. Fresh, vanilla, hints of oak. Smooth and mild. Very nice and smooth. Nice, but not too hoppy. But slightly floral in the aftertaste.

Cask at the Willow Walk, 01/11/13. Clear golden with a good sized off white head - this is a looker ! Nose is light citrus, straw, faint hops, toasted malt. Taste comprises mellow vanillia, woody notes, toaste malt, grass, light floral tones, bread dough, pinch of spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, this had just come on and was in tip top condition. Ok stuff, better than I’d expected from I&G !

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is smooth and softish, Sweetish creamy malt with a mild bubblegum ester. Light vanilla. Mellow tangerine hops. Light smooth finish. Tried this again in Cornwall and it was much the same but lost the bubblegum ester.

Blond colour. Citrus aroma and taste. Quite sweet and fruity. It’s not oaky though. Finish is quite peppery.

Cask @ The NewYearField, Livingston [261013]
Light amber, clear, frothy white head
Aroma - Light sweet pale malt, slight sweet fruit, very little here
Taste - soft sweet dull pale malts, sugar, slight marshmallow, very very slight fruit, really bland for the abv, some alcohol, but what was there didn’t taste awful, just sweet and bland
Palate - Medium body, sweet palate, quite smooth. Finish - vague - some bitter alcohol which gives a slight metallic linger, dry
Overall - Not undrinkable but so so bland for 5.6%, didn’t get any of the oak. A half pint is probably enough of this

Cask at the Greyhound (JDW), Maidenhead. AMber with a thin white head; orangey citrus aroma; a fresh, orangely citrus taste at first, with some vanilla, and a dry oily body; then a delicious dry, toasty, finish. Intersting with lots of complex flavours.
