Muckle means big and this is one mighty IPA. Breathe in the hops like you'd breathe in the fresh Orkney air! We put a lot of hops in Muckle but there's a pervading sweetness as well - it's a balanced IPA. Unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised to ensure you get the full flavour. May pour hazy.

Cask at the Peterborough Beer and Cider Festival 2024 with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma is orange, citrus, marmalade, tropical fruit grapefruit, pine. Follows through to taste with very good body. Very nice bitterness to finish.

21/8/2024. Cask at the 45th Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours clear golden amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is citrusy, orange, stone fruits, straw, touch herbal. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Nice drying bittersweet finish. Very nice.

On tap. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of melons, caramel, grapefruit and doughy malts. Flavors follow same but more emphasis on tropical fruit. Simple and very good.

(Keg at William K Kurvi, 20180626) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, toffee and cardboard. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A bit weird hoppy brew. The aroma wasn't pleasant.

Draught @ Kitty's Helsinki. Backlog. Poured amber color with a thin white head. Minerally, malty and fruity. Medium bodied. Some bitterness in the long finish.

Tsp at Olhus Kopenhavn, Helsinki. Color is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Some fruits, dryness, biscuits, pine, some hops and malts.

Half-pint, keg at Helgi’s Bar. Hazy apricot coloured body. Dissipating beige head, fair lacing. Smell of oily hops, citrus and dried fruits. The taste profile featured mid-sweet grapefruit, oily hops and peaches. Resionous bitterness to the finish. Medium bodied. Good drinking and pretty relaxing after the first day at the St Magnus Conference (Kirkwall 15.04.2016).
