Brewed with BrewDog Birmingham for Collab Fest 2013

After a democratic system of nominations and secret voting, the Brum team decided that … they couldn’t decide what to brew. So Jeff at Lovibonds was given the deciding vote and chose this wheaty treat from their list of ideas – brewed with lemongrass, ginger, lime leaves, cardamom and loads of Herzbrucker hops. Let’s assume it’s called Happy Ending because everything worked out well in the end.

Draught at BrewDog, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Aroma of lemongrass and coriander, notes of banana. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Wheat malt is eviden, but various spices dominates - yet it retains drinkability. Weird, but pretty good.

25th November 2013
Brewdog Camden. Hazy pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Minerals. Light dry malt, a little cream. Pleasant Gruit like flowers and herbs. Lavender is readily identifiable. Finishes floral and slighly fruity and with a carbonated sting. Nice.

Keg at Lovibonds brewery tap, 1st November 13. Very nice clean Wheat beer, did not get too much thai spice. Enjoyed this one, but would prefer it in the sun

Draft at BrewDog Camden on 19 October. Poured a hazy golden colour with a thick white head and good lacing. Aroma of cloves, yeast and citrus. Soft fruit flavours with lemon zest, esters and wheat. Finishes with dry grain, grassy hops and orange peal. Probably the least adventurous of these BrewDog bar collaborations, but a solid, tasty wheat ale.
