Cask handpull at Montagu Pyke London. Very dark brown Cola colour lasting beige head. Roasty ashtray beer. Some chocolate some coffee. Soft brown and malty. Ok. Just lacks a but of conviction on the intensity of the flavour.

On the 3rd Oct 2013 my wife and I had 22 half-pints between us at the 35th Telford Beer Festival: this was one of those 22. Hand-pulled, very dark, just like a Porter in fact: a bit thin body wise but full of flavour. Roasted malts with chocolate and coffee notes in both the aroma and taste, would have preferred a richer and deeper body, but at 4.0% ABV you canβt expect to much from a Porter.
