From the Bottle Stop, Cheadle Hulme. Generally something I try to steer clear of (a proper job that is) , but down the hatch anyway.... Standard clear golden colour with a foamy white head that faded fast. Sweetish nose with notes of honey and grassy hop, nothing especially bold though. Flavour was fairly hoppy with floral notes and a slight metallic tang lurking which lets it down. Very dry finish. I really wanted this to be good, but sadly it falls in the just about above average category. .

500ml bottle available at Vinmonopolet in Norway. Low, white head atop of a clear golden body. Floral and oily hops to the nose. Refreshing taste of citric fruits like lemon and grapefruits. Smooth, dry bitter ending. Soft in the mouth. To my liking (relaxing on a Saturday eve at home in Tromsø, 13.03.2010).

Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer with good carbonation and finger-thick, off-white head soon diminished to a thin but staying layer of bubbles. The nose surprised me as a hadn’t read the ingredients list on the bottle. Citrus, peach, some pinecones and grass stars the show, leaving the crackery malts in the background. The flavor isn’t as interesting as the aroma, and it’s a bit too fizzy in the mouth. Still, it’s a fine, quaffable beer with sweetness from the malts as a base, and citrus, pinecones and grass from the hops. Maybe it would be even better with some more bitterness, but on the other hand it works quite well as is. Overall, it’s a bit on the sweet side, hence it’s not as quenching as many IPA’s seems to be. Definately a beer I could, and will, drink more of. 100126
