Our India Red Ale uses plenty of Northwest grown Brewer’s Gold and Simcoe hops. With a solid foundation of Pilsner and crystal malts and our inimitable house yeast, these ingredients intertwine in delicious complexity and a shining ruby hue.

On tap at Double Mountain Hood River. Pours out a dark copper topped with a off white cream head. Aroma of citrus hops with a little orange bite. Taste was malt more of the citrus hops and a light bitter end. A fun mix up of the traditional IPA.

Draught. Poured iron ore red with thin white head, much lacing. Slight but pleasant aroma of hop, a little citrus a little pine. Medium hoppy flavour, somewhite like an IPA, but restrained. Thing hop finish. Perhaps it was two cold, perhaps it is me, perhaps this ale was trying to be a pale and an India Pale at the same time.

Hazy amber colour. Slightly spicy caramel and brown sugar nose with a hint of hop herbaceousness. Very quaffable - heck, slightly watery - with a balanced Simcoe-toast-caramel character. Somehow I wish for more in this brew but that’s not to say I don’t like what’s there.
