[ As Alechemy / Elixir Coal Porter ].
ABV: 5.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, dusty, spicy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt - molasses, caramelized malt, spicy, dusty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20191009]

Cask at Vintage, Leith. It pours black with a dense light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and red grape. The taste is smooth, rich-roasted malt, coffee, liquorice, mild acidity and ash with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, well-balanced and very drinkable.

Cask at Cloisters ... Deep deep black ... thin tan head ... Soft chocolate malt ... dark deep roast nose ... dark roast ... soft treacle ... ligth licorice ... sweet cheewy roast malts ... light bitter linger ... nice ... smooth and balanced
