33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu. Rated on 17.04.2010
Aroma has salty licorice, soy sauce, coffee and hints of booze. Flavour has salty licorice, some coffee, soy sauce, some herbal notes and alcohol. Too much alcohol and soy sauce here, feels like an imperial foreign stout.

330ml bottle, bb. 16.01.2029, at Villi Wäinö, shared with Matti. Near-black with a shimmering, dark ruby shade. Naked surface. Inviting aroma of dark fruits and berries. Rich and sweet flavour of earthy malts blended with plums, prunes and liquorice. Lingering aftertaste with warming alcohol. Full bodied with an oily feel. Good sipper (Helsinki, 06.02.2011).

Bottle @Villi Wäinö. Poured black color with a very thin, beige head. Sweet aroma of plums, rye and liquirice, some alcohol. Flavor is burnt malt, rye, raisins and some alcohol in the finish. Interesting beer, but probably something I will not try again.

Bottle 330ml.Clear dark black brown color with a small, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark berry, cheese notes. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark berry, dried berry. Alcohol is very good hidden in the beers ... Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100701]

Bottled at Willi Väinö, Helsinki. Immensly black with small beige head. Aroma of toast, prunes and licorice. Less weet than expected, staying reasonably slim. Coffee, licorice and dried fruits are dominant, the alcohol is exceptionally well hidden without ever becoming sticky or inky. Finishes with reasonably mild bitterness and touches of grainy licorice and plum brandy. Really good!

Bottled@Teerenpeli@Tampere. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is roasted malts, alcohol, dark dry fruits, and some wood, burnt sugar. Lovely aroma balance. Flavour is alcohol, roasted malts, roasted notes as well as quite big on the alcohol. Balanced and actually rather drinkable even though young.

Draught at HBF2010, shared with SaintMatty. Poured an extremely dark red, almost pure black with a tiny off white head. Sticky malty alcoholic nose, somewhat fruity (pretty much raisins). The taste is an improvement after that. Coffee and chocolate mixing perfectly with the bitter, somewhat roasty finish and aftertaste. Raisins again and some light meat appears. Nice!
