(Draught at HBF2010) Poured as deep brown with hints of red and clear. Didn’t form any head. Aroma contained malts, liquorice and roastedness. Palate was full bodied, warming and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, liquorice, chocolate, hops, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. The high ABV was very well hidden. You could feel the warming stength only when you swallowed the beer.

Deep brown color, small brown color. Aroma has roasted barley, salt licorice, alcohol. Full-bodied. Liquerish palate. Lots of licorice, sweetish candy (salted licorice), some light hops and alcohol. Less alcoholic than 16,1% indicates. Great, maybe even better than normal Pesäpuu.
