Cask Seasonal - An easy drinking traditional style ale. Clean and refreshing yet dark and mysterious, Fisherman is a deep coppery red, conjuring up roasted nuts and dark chocolate, with a lingering taste of liquorice and dried fruits.

Dark caramel , clear dense white head
Aroma - Rusty metal, sulphur, old yeast, poor aroma
Taste - Mineraly, rusty, Burton minerals, old English bitter hops, odd yeast, some dark fruits, oh no I’m really not liking this
Palate - thin body. Finish as main flavour..rusty minerals
Overall - This is the worst Adnams beer I’ve had. What was going on here?

[Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen] A deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of berries, while the flavor has strong notes of nuts and some notes of cowberries as well as caramel, on a sweet malty background, leading to a dry slightly bitter end.

On cask @ Moan and Dove, 2/19/05. An enjoyable day spent in Western Mass with Maibockaddict and Mkobes. Dark cola brown body, light transluscent haze, with strong burgundy-red hues swirling about when held to the light. Moderate amount of light tan head perched atop. Aroma of yeast and vinousness (concord grapes, grapeskins), with some herbal notes (mostly black licorice, maybe some light clove-like notes) and a bit of chocolate. Definite English yeast gives of some fruity esters (ripe blueberries, apples, cherries). Flavor begins with a surprising hops apparency, though not overly bitter. More yeast intersparsed with notes of cocoa and fruit. Medium body, with a surprisingly firm carbonation for a hand-pumped beer. Slightly oily texture, ends with some bittersweet roast. I wish I could find this stuff near me, on cask.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Nut brown. Sweet and very roasty, light-medium bodied, and slightly bold malt character. Surrisingly somewhat vinous. Grassy finish with good bitterness.

Cask conditioned at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Brown color; thin layer of creamy foam. Not too much aromatic, but has a very good velvety body, with some malt and a lot of caramel; a soft bitter, pleasant.
