Draught. Look: Black with beige head. Smell: Smells a lot of different things at the same time; licorice, smoke, raspberry(!). Taste: Complex! Lots of chocolate and roasted tones, also coffee, licorice and fruits. Overall: Complex but not over the top. Very drinkable!

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 27 Oct 2007) Dark brown, almost black colour with brief beige head. Roasted, malty nose with roasted grain, coffee, liquorice and tar. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, tar, dark fruit, wild berries and a long finish with lots of coffee bitterness. Medium body, slightly sweet. Another great porter from Närke. Impressive!

Bottled at Plain Kitchen, Gothenburg. Very dark brown, with a small tan head. Chocolate, coffee, licorice, well-roasted malt and some hops in the aroma. The flavor has chocolate, coffee-beans, some hops and hints of sweetness. Full-bodied and mouth-drying. Long finish with dark, bitter chocolate. Lovely aroma, good flavor. Rating: 8-4-7-4-15-3.8.(060824)
On tap. It’s a next to black beer topped by a finger-thick beige head. Roasted nose with some chocolate, licorice, a little alcohol, subtle lemony hops and a vinous feeling. Salty licorice notes in the mouth, but mostly heavily roasted. Some alcohol, chocolate, coffee and resin too. Full-bodied and dry. The finish is dry and roasted, with citrus and some chocolate. Quite lovely. (090529)

Black color; beige creamy head. Soft aroma of roasted malt, some hop. Really harmonious taste, a lot of roasted malt, caramel, silky, good structure. Very pleasant and well brewed.
