330ml can from Spar, Beitostolen. Pours a hazy chestnut brown, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malt with hints of cocoa. Smooth caramelised malts on the palate with some nutty chocolate notes. Lightly bitter. Very nice.

Can from Cogo, drunk 8/5/16.
Small, off-white head tops a peachy-orange, not dark amber, body with light carbonation, high clarity and moderate retention.
This one seems to be a lighter shade of amber ale, and follows in both aroma and flavor of being less overly malty. Still plentiful caramel malt (no heavy iced tea and low on the crystal malt ’hardness’. Ample thought is given to the base malt and thus it turns out quite comforting on the palate, with plentiful fruity esters, light, peppery hops, good attenuation and exquisite cleanliness, as Aegir has been now through about 7 beers.
The carbonation is soft, natural and engaging without being overly fizzy. Certainly on the maltier side, flavorwise, but it’s not too sweet. There is some rich cereal and caramel character lingering on the finish with is gently bittered to provide a good balance. Some breadiness builds up, lightly on the palate, with lots of fruitiness from the yeast. Nice stuff.
