500ml bottle served in a Duvel glass at Kontoret in Bergen. Filmy, off-white head resting on top of an amber-mahogany body. Promising hoppy smell with earthy malts beneath. Orange shells and pine needles in flavour backed by modest notes of caramel malts. The resinous hops on the swallow end up in a soft, but solid bitter finish. Well brewed (18.06.2009).

Medium beige offwhite lasting head. Hazy amber body with light carbonation. Bottle obviously maltreated in transport: yeast residue on inside of neck and floaties in the beer. Strong hoppy mango and oranges aroma with caramel notes. Harmonic and balanced. Dry-sweet hoppy oranges, mango, and resin taste, again with excellent harmony and balance. Smoothish mouthfeel. Full body. Clean, fresh palate. Light astringency, it seems. Dry-bitter wood, oranges, and caramel aftertaste lingers for a long time. Now this is just excellent. A real triumph! Bottle courtesy of Greg Koch at our stop at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on 08/03/2008 on day three of RBSG 2008. Clear copper amber body with a small off-white head. Grassy and floral hop aroma. Sweet grassy and floral hop flavor. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, fruit, malt. Flavour is hop, fruit, grapefruit, malt, citrus. Nice beer.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, flowers, and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, alcohol, grapefruit, and other citrus fruits, leading to a dry bitterfinish - a cold hop soup. The body is thin - I think it has a very low final gravity.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Bottle conditioned, ABV is 6.5%. Deep golden colour to orange colour, big and lasting off-white head with an orangey hue. Nice aroma of American hops. The flavour has notes of orange marmalade and resin with a substantial hoppy bitterness, but it is not overdone. Medium sweetness. Grapefruity bitter and long aftertaste - and yngwie is right: there is actually a hint of camphor too!

Bottle. Clear, deep golden pour, with an off-white head. Lovey piney and resiny nose, with a good maltyness and citrus too. Malt, beef-stock, resin, citrus and some sweetness, but more on the bitter side than on the sweet side. Full body and a long, resiny finish with some camphor. Really lovely. Bottle. It pours a hazy, orange-golden body under a nice beige head. Malty-sweet, slightly beef-stock like nose with grapefruit, pine cones and resin from the hops. Malty-sweet, beefstocky flavor too, with the same piney, resiny and citrusy hops. Fine, lingering bitterness. Full body. A really pleasant and easy to drink IPA. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. 081128
Bottle. It pours a clear, dark orange-golden body topped by a big beige head leaving nice lacings. A good layer of sediments are easily stirred from the bottom of the bottle, so a gentle pour is called for. Citrusy, pine-cone like nose with a solid caramel malty base. A bit sweet on the palate maybe, but with enough bitterness to deal with it. Almost meaty, with pinecones and the white part of orange peel. Delicious bitterness and prickling feeling on the tongue in the end. Full-bodied and well carbonated. Really good to finally have it available at Vinmonopolet. 100329
