Aroma of malts, caramel, ripe fruits, bourbon, oak, some alcohol. Flavour is heavy sweet with a rich sweet finish. Dangerously drinkable for its high ABV. Rather sweet, but smooth and enjoyable.

Tap at Winterbierfestival 2015, Gouda: Dark brown with red glow colored brew and the taste is pretty sweet bitter with an nicely burn. Hints of chocolate, vanille and dried fruits. Very dangerous high alcohol volume you don’t noticed very well.

Bottle split at Columbus, thanks to Kenny, 31/07/19. Amber brown pour with little in the way of a head. Nose is dusty fruits, prunes, dates, toffee, dark malts, spice, oxidised nip. Taste comprises a tickle of bourbon, caramel, dried fruits, dates, prunes, spice. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a whisper of alcohol. Ok sipper but past its best alas.

Small white bottle. Malt, maple syrup, oak and bourbon in the aroma. Milk chocolate. Malty, very sweet flavor with maple syrup, plums, oak and hints of bourbon. The massive malty sweetness leaves the alcohol almost unnoticed. Thick and massive mouthfeel. A masterpiece of craftsmanship to make such a massive beer drinkable. Tasted again in december 2016. 2012 bottle. Dark amber coilor. Toffee and vanilla in the vinous aroma. No carbon left whatsoever. Malty sweet, thick, viscous. Bourbon, vanilla and toffee. Dried fruit. Lovely!

180mml. bottle courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Vintage 2012, bottle 042/1392. Dark amber to brown colour with no head. Aroma is maple syrup, burnt caramel, bourbon barrel and toffee. Taste is intense vanilla, oak bourbon barrel and syrup. Strong body and intense deep warm finish. Low carbonation. It´s very nice for a couple of swallows but too much for a big glass or even for 18cl.. Next one please!

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, many thanks! 18cl, bottled Feb 7th, 2012. Pours clear dark amber with no head. Aroma is bourbon barrel, vanilla, some caramel, some solubles. Body is heavy and strong, unsurprisingly. Sweet but not sticky. Lots of caramel and barrel on the tongue. Warming boozy and nutty palate, also some candy. Very strong, but also balanced and not overwhelming. Aged with grace for sure.
