Backlog October 2009. Almost clear amber body under a dense beige head. Aroma has light roasted malt, caramel and dry fruit. Taste like aroma, sweet and malty with dry fruit, some bitterness as well. Medium body and aftertaste. Drinkable but not much going on.

Aroma has brown sugar, honey and yeast. Very sweet and syrupy with brown sugar, chichorei and pineaplle flavors. Good lacing. This beer is too sweet, and there is almost nothing to compensate. Not well balanced.

Bottle bought at the Great British Beer Festival. Pours mid to dark brown with a maroon tint and a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, dried fruit, chocolate, prune and coffee. Towards heavy sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, carbonation is soft.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach getrockneten Früchten, Hefe, Karamell. Geschmack hefig, Karamell, Früchte, leicht gewürzig.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark red brown color, small off-white head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts, some fruits, some herbs or spices. Taste malts, some fruits, a bit fruitpeel-bitter and again lightly some herbs or spices. Medium carbonation, ok body.

Bottle @ home thx to benzai. Hazy brown colour with no real head. Smells brown sugar, malts, pepernoten, raisins, unfresh. Tastes brown sugar, malts, rasins, sweet. Not my beer at all. Medium body (mostly because of the sweetness), nice carbo.

6th October 2010
Cloudy dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Dark malt and lots of minerals. Whispers of chocolate and marmite. A little cream. Okay beer if a bit insubstantial.

Dark red-brown colour. Aroma of malts and a bit of wood and liquourice. Lacks body and depth of flavour although some nice cocoa and liquorice are present in the finish.
