Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s. Pretty clear, purplish red appearance with a pink head. Twangy, fake berry, artificial sweetener, goopy bready nose. Very sweet, dull juicy juice, oxidized flavor. Nothing really going on.

375 ml bottle poured. Pours a fizzy red color with a huge, foamy almost pink head. Sweet cherry pie aroma. Kind of tastes like a cherry pie as well. More like it tastes exactly the same. Long sweet cherry flavor with an endless cherry palate. A little too sweet, but otherwise delicious. Not what I expected in a beer at all, but I enjoyed the hell out of this. Good stuff.

At gollem antwerp . Pours dark red . In the scent , some lambic shines trough .. Taste is cherry . Sweet , some spices . Some funk , very hidden . . Aftertase is nice as well . Like it ! Has a bready note to it , somehow .

Bottle at the Merchants Inn, Rugby, 03/10/14. Clear slightly washed out cherry red with a big old crimson covering. Nose is tangy cherry, light spice, cherry tinged straw. Taste comprises sweet cherry drops, metallic rinse, damp straw, all about the cherry. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but at the lower end of the fruit lambic spectrum, a little too sweet and not tarte/sour enough.

0,25L bottle, BB 24.04.16. Pours red with pink head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, tart, cherries, wheat. Flavor is sweet & tart, cherries. Finish is tart and rather dry. Overall: nice brew.

The standard ’compromized’ kriek Mort Subite, a classic since 1972, restyled when they launched Mort Subite XTreme Kriek and now fully named Mort Subite Kriek Traditionelle - though this is not 100% lambic and sweetened, contrary to their actual traditional kriek, called Mort Subite Oude Kriek. Light pink head, deep cherry red colour; sweet with sourish touch, lemon, ascorbic acid, elderberry aroma, cherry syrup, corn, red candy. Lambic complexity and woodiness is still noticeable, but in a very light and subtle way, as in their framboise or (sweetened) geuze.
